Dr Richard Halvorsen

The City Acupuncture Clinic was established by Dr Richard Halvorsen and is located within the Broadgate Spine Center at 65 London Wall.

Dr Richard Halvorsen qualified in medicine at The Middlesex Hospital, London, in 1982. Shortly after qualifying as a doctor, he spent two years training in traditional Chinese acupuncture. He then studied various forms of western scientific acupuncture, which culminated in his being awarded a Diploma in acupuncture to become an accredited member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

He has also spent time studying acupuncture in China. He has practiced acupuncture for over 20 years, and offers this alongside orthodox medicine at his NHS general practice in Holborn.

Dr Halvorsen is an experienced GP and is very happy to discuss with you whether acupuncture, or indeed some other therapy – either orthodox or complementary, is the most appropriate for your particular problem.

Dr Halvorsen is a registered provider with all major insurance companies, including BUPA and AXA PPP.

His services are covered by all major private insurance companies.
